The wide range of exercises available in the Pilates Method and the Pilates K Trainers creativity make the possibilities limitless. Our goal is to create a uniform and familiar structure to each class level. Regardless of your fitness levels, we guarantee that you will leave the class feeling stronger, more flexible and energised. We feel that this is essential for our clients to fully understand, incorporate and master the movement essentials.

Fundamentally, it is the repetition of the Pilates movement patterns, performed correctly and with precision that provides the incredibly impressive results the we see everyday in our studio.

While there is a fundamental structure to each class, the Pilates K Trainers ensure innovative and flexible choreography based upon the clients participating in the class. In this way our trainers are free to slow the class down to acclimate for a less experienced class as well as being able to modify choreography and difficulty when they are presented with an experienced group.

Reformer Classes

Beginners Reformer Class

This class is ideal for complete beginners and or for those who have very little experience of Reformer Pilates. We encourage all first timers to join one of our beginner classes.

The pace of the class is slower to give participants the opportunity to get to grips with the basic principles of Pilates, get used to the reformer and build up strength.

Participants should attend beginner classes until one of our teachers advances them to the next level. Our qualified and brilliant teachers will tailor make the classes to ensure that you work on technique, strengthen the core and muscles.

Intermediate Reformer Class

Our Intermediate Reformer Classes are dynamic and require a certain degree of body awareness, strength and flexibility. The pace of the class is faster than a “classical “Reformer Pilates class. Our experience of working in the fitness industry has thought us that individuals want to feel their muscles working and look at changing their body shape fast and safely. Dynamic Pilates will ensure that you are still working the right muscles, maintaining your alignment whilst performing more demanding exercises and stretches.

The choreography in the intermediate reformer classes is more complicated and challenging to achieve maximum results. We gurantee that your body will change shape!

Advanced Reformer Class

Advanced classes are ideal for the more hardcore people! This class is ideal for those who have been attending Pilates K classes for a while and . . love being pushed!

The pace is fast, circuit class type, very demanding on core muscles and the whole the body. It can be sweaty session, definitely not for the faint hearted! There is a lot of huffing and puffing but our fittest clients keep coming back for more!

Kettle Bell Reformer Class – EXCLUSIVE TO OUR STUDIO ONLY

Working with kettlebells increases flexibility, helps you lose weight, allows you to target several muscle groups at once and increases strength at a faster rate than weightlifting alone The swinging motion of kettlebell exercises provides some cardio benefits while allowing you to target muscle groups rather than the single muscles of traditional weight-lifting.

Did you know that Joseph Pilates was a serious lifter of heavy weights? At approximately 60 years of age, he had the musculature that can only come from weight training. It is inconceivable that he attained that look by practicing alone the method that his students chose to pass down and became known as "Pilates." Clearly, Mr. Pilates was a serious lifter of heavy weights, and if he did so for himself, is it so inconceivable that he prescribed them for at least some of his clients?

In our opinion, weights belong in a Pilates studio, our master found heavy weights useful and important, and we should not ignore their benefit in achieving a more complete level of physical fitness.

Returning from a holiday in Los Angeles, Rosaria discovered the kettlebell, and she believes it holds the potential of bridging the world of Pilates with the world of weight training. A kettlebell resembles a cannonball with a handle; the leading proponents of kettlebell training follow very "Pilates-like" principles.
